Shore performs the morphological monitoring of two eco-dynamic pilots in the IJsselmeer. The pilot Workumerwaard is the largest of the two pilots. The wide shallow banks in this region of the IJsselmeer show large sand ridges, beginning in a water depth of 3 m until less than 0.5 m water depth. Right on the border of the first sand ridge and the deeper (offshore) part a nourishment of 25.000 m3 was constructed.
We use our jetski survey system, a SUP raft with RTK GPS and the RTK GPS carrier to map the bathymetry in this area. (Bi-)annual datasets are collected for EcoShape.
