Late 2017 Shore has been asked by the waterboard Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (HHNK) to collect an integral dataset of a coastal section near Castricum in the Netherlands. During this project the jetski and UAV-LIDAR have been used to respectively survey the foreshore and beach/dunes. The Jetski and UAV-LiDAR surveys are connected with RTK-GNSS quad measurements to deliver an integral DTM of the entire region of interest.
During this project use of the LiDAR-sensor was recommended to the client because of the vegetation in the dunes and the desire to determine the ground level underneath. Nevertheless, aerial images have been collected simultaneously with the laser data to make an orthophoto for the client.
