HKWb - Cable route survey

In the autumn of 2020 Shore Monitoring & Research performed a survey campaign for a cable landing at the IJmuiden coast for NEXT Geosolutions and TenneT. This extensive survey scope contained setting up benchmarks, LiDAR and orthophoto surveys on land and sub-bottom profiling, multibeam echo sounding, side scan sonar and towed magnetometer measurements using our extremely shallow water vessel ‘SHORE Opportunity’.

Shore Monitoring & Research was responsible for creating high resolution DTMs for the beach as well as for the near shore part of the project. Through the use of SHORE's extensive experience in the near shore area, overlap between the wet and dry areas was achieved.
