Integral Cable Route Survey

Project description

Shore Monitoring & Research finished another survey campaign for a cable landing corridor at a North Sea beach. This extensive survey scope contained LiDAR, orthophoto and GNSS surveys on land and sub-bottom profiling, multibeam echo sounding, side scan sonar and towed magnetometer measurements using our shallow water vessel ‘SHORE Possibility’.

The "SHORE Presence" was mobilized for the first time during this project. She succesfully finished the survey campaign utilizing USBL for positioning the towed Side Scan Sonar in combination with a piggy-backed magnetometer. Furthermore, Sub-bottom profiler and MBES data was aqcuired. All during one single survey run.

Shore Monitoring & Research was responsible for creating high resolution DTMs of the beach as well as for the near shore and deeper parts of the project. Also, Side Scan Sonar Mosaïcs, Magnetometer Residual grids and Sub-Bottom Profiler data was delivered to our client.
